In the past, unincorporated populations were mostly ignored in creating population maps. Concentrated population data was only available for incorporated municipalities. To fix this problem, AGRC has created a new populated place point layer, based on the 2010 census data, that includes unincorporated populated places with an estimate of their populations. This new layer can be used to display all populated place locations (unincorporated and incorporated) in the state of Utah with their population as an attribute.
